SIZE CHART - Barefoot shoesPLEASE NOTE: Determine the shoe size directly according to the length of your feet. The inner length of the shoe is 12 mm longer than the foot length for the same shoe size. For example, if your foot length is 256 mm, you would select size 40, and the inner length of the shoe would be 268 mm. The values for widths represent the inner shoe widths at the widest part of the ball of the foot.

It’s pure classic, it’s healthy and it’s comfortable! Contact C1 will impress you with its timeless elegance that can be easily combined as part of any attire – formal or casual one.
The Proalp Contact model maximizes the contact between the foot and the terrain. When wearing Contact shoes, the tiny sharp stones are not felt and our feet hug the surface at each step. Much like walking barefoot.
The main role in the development and manufacturing of Proalp footwear plays the awareness about our health. We combine the century years old tradition of shoemaking with the understanding of natural feet movement. When walking feet are changing their shape, loads, and ground contact. Feet are persistent and dynamic by nature and have flexibility and strength, which is significantly loosened with the use of incorrect footwear. Proper footwear gives the feet full freedom of movement and allows contact with the terrain we walk on, which maintains and improves the structure of bones, joints, and muscles.
Some of Contact’s features:
They are shaped like feet. The forefoot part forms a shoe wide enough for us to step with the whole soles of the feet on the ground and all toes have enough space to spread and move. Particular attention is paid to the front inner curve of the shoes, which should provide ample space for the toes, for the active gait.
Flexible soles allow maximum tilt angle and the foot arch can freely amortize loads during a walk.
Contact shoes firmly grip the feet.
Soft leather (optionally microfiber) is used for the upper part and the lining, 3 – 5 mm layer, consisting of wool, hemp, and jute compound (in winter models with the woolen lining of 6 mm), which regulates the temperature and insulate the feet from heat and cold. The natural materials create a breathable antiseptic shoe environment.
The Contact shoes’ greatest feature is the 2,5 mm vulcanized rubber sole. It is anti-slip and resistant against wear. It has a 15 mm high rubber frame. The shoes ensure a good climate inside the shoe as they are made from only natural materials that allow the shoe to breathe freely.
For an additional payment of 20€, the sole with a deep profile can be added.

By taking proper care of shoes, we maintain their nice appearance, durability and resistance to various weather conditions. Experiences show that Proalp footwear can be worn everyday without it becoming moist from sweat. However, we recommend you periodically give your favourite shoes a “day off”; here are some other tips:
- When out of season, insert a crumpled absorbent paper (it can be newspaper) inside the shoe, which will retain its shape.
- Air-dry wet shoes, away from heating appliances that can dry out your shoes and therefore cause them to loose their water resistance.
- Wipe dirty shoes with a damp cloth, if needed, add a very small amount of gentle dishwashing liquid and then air dry. Do not soak Proalp shoes in water, or wash them in a washing machine.
- You can apply colourless shoe cream on smooth shoes; a regular hand cream is also adequate; apply a little cream on a cloth and spread it over the surface of the shoe. Leave it on for a while, then wipe it off and smooth it with a cloth. When applying a new cream on the shoes, test it on a less noticeable part before you apply it on the entire surface.
- All variations of non-smooth shoes can be brushed with a special-purpose brush and impregnated with a colourless spray.
How often should you clean and care for you shoes? Everyone has his own standards regarding that, we recommend you do this a few times in a season.
